This is my 1st (of many I hope) picture posts on Bootle History I hope it works! "Bootle in the snow" This was taken from the roof of the strand car park. Notice the wind turbines on the Docks.

WOW! I've just got out the pool..............trying to cool down! Although the temp is only 28 degrees the humidity is over 90.........so the temperature feels far higher. I have been in far higher, though dryer heat.............to 48.......in Alice Springs........not as draining as this.

Although I curse the extremes of heat.......you can keep your cold!

Love the snow and effects though hate, absolutley hate, when the snow turns to slush.

I'd started work in Lyster Road the September previous.
The snow/ice lasted a few days.
Getting off the 58 at 6.30 in the morning on Stanley Road.
The choice was Merton Road or Strand Road. At that stage I didn't know about the path down the side of Asda.
Only attempted Coffee House Bridge once. It was like climbing the Eiger. At least Strand Road was flat.
