Mine would be 1958 through 1978 Bob, 1975 - 1978 around High Wycombe in Bucks before retiring from playing league football. Had a few social games for work later, the highlight being a match on Grays Athletic pitch in Essex Ken

It is so sad to see photos of healthy young men who are no longer with us. I lost touch with all my team mates from Winifred Sports for many years and only through Bob starting this thread did I discover that there were possibly only three now still alive. I still remember them as young pals and the news to me was as if they had all died at once. It was really a terrible shock and one of the saddest times of my life.

Great days playing in the school teams and most of us played in the YM, Bootle south, and the Brunny in them days.
I could name loads of great lads who played football in them days in Bootle.
Great times we had and all the banter on the park and off the park.
Remember them street games could write a book on this.
Regards Bobby
Remember all this could have been lost so let's put more on.
Thanks everyone

Hi Bobby,
Yes that’s me on the bottom left and Jimmy Russell on the top right, our paths would team up again in the YMCA Team, some good players in that year. Alan Kelly team captain and I would go up to Southport for a trail that year and Alan was signed on Schoolboy Forms and ended up I think in the USA as a “ soccer coach “
