Hi Allen ,Arthur was a good mate of mine you won the everton cup 74,75
i played with Mick and John Quirk for the reme in the crosby league great players
i must have passed you by the chaucer i lived in milton street and drunk there and the munky
most of the players in the photos we played against and had some great games
the j o c was a bit tougher as most of the lads played sundays as well the refs where stricter
most of the finals where at bootle stadium and even if it wasnt your division
you watched all the finals the linacre played one final there and before the match the league sad are goaly was cup tied
which he wasnt but we had to but are winger bobby thomson in goal
think it was against st johns and we lost
such a big pitch and to play on the ground where some of the great pros played on
i am doing a list of everton players who used to play for the reserves at the stadium

I remember as a kid about 14 going to Orell Pleasure with my boots around my neck looking for a game the Corpy were short and asked me if I wanted a game I was very fast and tricky the opposition tried to kick me into touch but couldn't catch me plus the Corpy lads protected me and threatened to knock their blocks off if they did catch me. That was my very first game in the JOC I can still smell the linoment in the changing rooms

Eddy is right there was not much skill factor and if you showed promise
a few kicks up the backside where common
but are footy boots for toe ending where good protection
Ken that linament was better than any spray as long as you where carefull going the loo
it was a lear ning curve to play on orrell pleasure
