Bootle Schools FA representative team 1946.
There’s my late Dad... Stanley Nicholson. Front row... first on the right
the line up on the back of the photo reads left to right, back row: Grogan, Baldwin, Grace, Campbell, Hay, ?. Front row: Dickinson, Farghar, Scanlan, Smith, Nicholson.
Where was that I don’t know Ken. It looks like terracing in the background. It’s dad’s birthday today and I thought it was a good way to think of him. Dad is centre front. He was aged 12 and represented Bootle boys throughout his school career. It was the one achievement in football that gave him the most pride. I’m not sure that if it can be compared.

Liverpool have signed Jimmy Gee, the Bootle F.C. centre forward, who has been attracting the attention of several of the leading clubs. Gee is 20 years of age, stands 5ft. 9ins., and scales 11 stone.
Gee is a Bootle born player who has been among the leading goalscorers in the Lancashire Combination, and Alex Stevenson tells me that he has been playing good football into the bargain
Started my research
