Mister Crilly, a nonsense referee, I seen him book a guy for swearing at his own player.

Bob
Just wanted to say thanks to Dan for his recent contributions.
It was great to see the picture of Bensons and Salisbury teams together before the cup final at Goodison.
My dad, John Carey, is on the extreme right of the front row - they lost the final 1-0 and he still talks about it.
It would be good if I could get a better copy of it for him.
It's his birthday today - 89 years old and he still loves his football.
Thanks again.

You ought to be able to download this one Chris.
I don't know what happened to the Bootle Times photo archives.
A lot of the old local and regional newspaper archives are owned by REACH, a London-based conglomerate.
There would have been original copies of these photos bought at the time of publishing.
I've got a description of a photo of the original Miranda team, from the late 19th/ early 20th century,
never seen the photo though.
Best wishes to your dad.

As the Red half of Liverpool celebrates success, I though I would share this fabulous photograph of our Bootle based Merton Villa FC Under 11 team from 1974-75. We were ‘double’ winners of the Netherton & Sefton League and Cup. Our Managers were my Dad, Joe Halsall along with Alec Colton. Anybody recognise any of the boys here? — with John Ingham, Tricia Halsall and Steve Hignett.
