Well in my days there were the teams above great players and great role models to us kids who we respected to this day.

Still need more pictures of the great times.

Liverpool Cup Final at Anfield May 1956/7.
Rea United (in white) 1-4 St Winifred Sport. Both clubs from Bootle. My dad Harry Hudson is far right (front), scored 2, A Riley, M Ambrose scored the others with H Marsh scoring for Rea.

Just spotted Jimmy Chart my dad front row 2nd from right, sitting next to Jimmy Sykes I think. Can’t wait to show him this.
Shud read jimmy Symes well known Bootle family

Anybody recognise any of the teachers in this picture and any of the boys ( St. Wilfrid’s). Photo taken at the school’s sports day. Tom Diggle ( headmaster) and Joe Fearon are 2 of the teachers.

Thanks John Doran

Bootle Grammar School, Merseyside Senior Shield winners at Goodison Park, 1952.

Brilliant photo. Any names for the faces. Went to Bootle Grammar in the 60's and 70's and they still had a wonderful tradition for football and cricket. The teachers gave up their Saturday mornings willingly to manage the teams. They still had the same coloured tops; blue and red.

Top left, my brother Jimmy Rent.
