Nobody else has mentioned it on the forum so this is as good a place as any to put it. The great Fantail and Bootle footballer John O'Leary passed away over the last weekend. He was a tremendous footballer and a very humble man. Mere mention of his name in football circles evokes numerous stories of his ability. He was a big Evertonian as well. He will be sadly missed by his family and his many friends.
RIP John.

Sad news indeed. A great local footballer. John used to come into Ashworth hospital to play 5 a side with the patients. A really nice guy. R. I. P. John.
