Hi efc
I remember Mrs Quinn's by the coal yard, Dunkerleys chippy, the holy shop, I think two sisters ran it, Joes chippy, Nellie Dunnes before she moved top of Audley, Strettles fish shop, went there for a penny worth of fades. Mr Cambridge with his penny vantas drinks he was there I think before Mr Marr, John the butcher, Scott's, Mr Rogers, Dickie Mints only sold quarters of sweets, Blackledges, Costigan's. There was also a chemist I think at the top of Audley street. Double E powder when you banged your head actually cured everything then. How things have changed, all our yesterdays.
