Bob is it the Windham,, the only person i think i recognise is on the front row on the extreme left with the first aid box, and if it is who i think it is you will know him from your neck of the woods (Canal St), I've got him down as Billy O'Connor (brother of John and Joe). JJC.

John, Was John O'Connor a big, heavy lad, played centre forward for a few JOC teams, one being Borthwicks? Ken

Ken, i only knew him because he knocked around with my eldest brother, he would be 4 or 5 years older than you and me and he was a big lad then, i last saw him in the 80s and he was still a big unit, i am sorry but i have no knowledge of his playing days, if it is the same fella Bob should be able to put you in the picture. Remember all the names you have mentioned Bob, off thread, but was it Joe King who had one of the first licensed betting shops in the country, signalling the end for the back street bookie, (next door to Harry Evans in Berry St), and did Ding Dong,s (Albie Bell) mum run the chippy (Winstanleys!) on Irlam Rd.JJC.
