Mickc Big thanks you for them names. I can remember playing against them but forgot there name.
Mickc if you remember anymore players post please.

There were some great players in them days. Gerry Jones should have played for Everton he was talent in my days.

Steve Goodwin was another great player great left foot

Eddie was a worker on the field

I could go on and on

Fazerman that's a great picture some names l recognised of the lads in my school days.

Peter Dee the P.E. teacher great pe teacher hope he is looking in on the forum, he move down south.

Peter Dee came to us from Warwick Bolam. He was a true red supporter good golfer.

But best of all a good P. E. Teacher hard with us lads but fair.l have a lot of respect for him.

Through that was Phil Blackwell we had a good swimming team as well in them days do you remember Roy Chappell.

I have a shield that was presented to my granddad William George Lovatt by Bootle JOC in 1953 for 21 years service. I believe my uncles John (JACK) Lovatt and Charlie Lovatt may have played for one of the Bootle teams in the 50's or 60's .
