As promised some time ago to one of our posters living in a far off land.

The 1st is St.Johns Road Infants taken in 1957. I'm 2nd row, 5th from left.



This 2nd is Bedford Road Juniors late 50s/early 60s. I'm 3rd row 4th from left.



This is also Bedford Road same time? I'm not on this picture



The first two pictures are posted on the Friends Reunited site (in much better condition) and also name some of the people.
I also remember some of them but prefer not to reveal their identities.

just took a look for the first time at this site and the find of my life !a school photo and so many faces that i can put a name too

From the second photo down which was my class I can remember most of the faces. Can anyone fill the gaps I wonder.

I'm on the third photo, back row 2nd left next to Ken Pickavance. Others I remember are the names aupplied by John Holdswoth (You missed my last name)Susan Offlands, Pauline Willey, Ailsa Jones, Alison Orr, Meryl Williams, Sarah Pilson, Robert Cannon, Jean Starkey, Pat Riley, Harry Slocombe, Margaret Shields Sandra Jones and Alec Crawford.
I didn't know all the names but had help from June Shacklady.

Hi Dave (Smith?)I have just come across this excellent site by accident and
the memories came flooding back! On the first photo I am on the front
row in the middle and I think you are behind me to my right? Next to you on your left would be Allan Davies? and next but two to him Goergie Payne?
On the front row 3rd from left is Roy Chappell the swimmer and next to him
I'm guessing is Steven Bolton. 2nd row from bottom third from left I think
is Valerie Griffiths.3rd row up and 3rd from right would I think be Phillip
McNab. I lived at 80 kings Road opposite the railway and my sister Marjorie
was 15 mths older Would be glad to know the other names. Did you say you could email a better quality picture? That would be great

iainmackie, Robert Cannon is in that photo? I think I see Jimmy Cannon but not Robert. I was Maureen cannon's best mate. I practically lived at the cannons. Roberts gone now.

Welcome Iainmackie and Chris R. to the Bootle site. There are many people contributing to this site and bringing pleasure to those they have and haven't met. There is a huge appetite for old photos (hint) and as you have found, understandably why. Enjoy
